Growing up in Rajasthan, the news of female foeticide was a daily reality. Inspired by Sarah Horris’s approach of embedding social messages in fashion, I designed an attire addressing this practice.
Vertebrae placed along the backbone above the cowl symbolize women as the true support system of families and mankind. Yet, positioned at the back. While people worship goddess Lakshmi, the persistence of female foeticide reveals a painful contradiction.
